Default PCV question

Hi
Just adding a PVC to CARB hose.
Seems easy enough.
Add the Grommet, PCV, clamp, hose, clamp to Carb.
Should I coat the pcv valve with anything before inserting it into the grommet? Same for any of the parts, hose to PCV?, hose to carb??
VERY NEW CAR OWNER-
THANKS AGAIN!

So Just shove it in and off I go.
Probably the easiest project I will ever have...
THANKS

Is there a special tool for clamps?
It has 2 prongs and 2 in the middle going the other direction.
I used a pair of pliers for one and had no problme-the one on the carb is a little more tight and hargder to get to.
Is there a trick or special pliers?

Sometimes a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers work well to squeeze the clamps.
