speedo cable on 68
been reading the forum and a number of you mention greasing the speedo cable...my needle jumps a lot and I'm wondering what is involved in greasing the cable????:

Its a pretty easy job, just need the right tool. Its a fitting that lets you hook a grease gun up to it. One end of this tool screws into the cable and the other end has a zirk that accepts a grease gun. BE CAREFUL not to shoot too much grease in these cables, just a pump or two and try it out. Give it time to work in. This fitting/tool can be purchased from Corvette mid america or NAPA (thats where I got mine). Here is what it looks like....Fixed my problem!!
