Column is a bolt in. If you want the 69 steering wheel, you need a hub from a 69-75 tilt car to bolt the steering wheel to.

I tired this same thing years ago...give up as its too much work. I sold the 76 column on e-bay and then bought one that fit my 71. Any cost difference will be less than what you will spend trying to convert.

Turn signal switch is a direct plug in. If you have dimmer on the column, either ignore it, or re-route the wire from the floor switch. It also should plug in. I though dimmer on the column didn't start until 77?

Are you sure it was a 76 column? 77-82 are a different length. The only real difference in a 76 column and 69-75 is the "Vega" steering wheel. You need the correct hub for the early wheel and it should be a direct bolt-in.

Are you sure about that? 77 used the early side dash panels.

If you have a 1977 (or later) T&T column, it will have a large "bulge" on the left side or the steering column head for the dimmer switch pivot. 1976 (and earlier) columns have a completely round head.

If you have a 1977 or later column, this paper may be of help.
