Default Body Mount Shims

I am about to install the body after my restoration... I mixed up the shims, and I don't know how many shims-per mount I should install. I bought a new kit which includes all the mounting hardware. How do I know which mounts require shims? Is there a way to level the body to the frame? I have a feeling that I will be taking advantage of the lift by installing and re-installing the body to get it perfect. I own a 72'. I could sure use some help... As always, "Thanks guys!"
Jon

Oh yeah, are there any last minute things I should check before I rest the body on the frame for good? Any experiences would help out...
Latr,
Jon

Good post. Mine were rusted to point where they just feel apart when the bolts were removed. I was wondering how to do this myself.

From my experience doing my 69, I can suggest this method. After setting the basic spacer and shim on the mount, drop the body down. Place additional shims in the 1 and 4 mounts where you can see there is a gap, but be mindful of keeping the body level. Number 2-3 is tricky because you can't see the gap space very well. Back all the bolts out, but keep them in the thread and the shims in place. Lift the body back up a couple inches so you can get your hand inside the rocker channel on mount 2-3. Put a 3/4 inch thick wad of clay inside a piece of Saran wrap and fold it over so the clay is covered. You need to make 4 of these and stick each one next to the bolt on mounts 2-3. Set the body back down carefully while guiding it back on its proper seat. Check your door gaps at this time. If they are good, raise the body and measure the clay you put next to the mount bolt. Add the appropriate number of shims to fill the space under the rocker channel as indicated by the clay. If your door gap was too tight on the rear drivers side, for example, you will need to add a shim to #3, so when the bolt is tightened the gap will open. You may need to play with this to get it perfect, but remember things can change after tightening the bolts if the shims were not tight under the rocker channel. I wish I could offer a more simple method.
