I went to start my car (1968 manual B.B 427) , and the started tried to crank over , but then I lost all power. I do not have anything from key , no radio , fan anything. Do have 12 volts to relay for starter, and so forth. Checked all fuses at fuse panel. Is there a main fuse some where that could have blown that is located some where other tanfuse block? HELP !!!Is there like a in line fuse from key start?? HELP.
...from my wiring diagram it appears to be a Purple wiring going from one side of the starter solenoid via the Neutral Safety Switch to the Ignition Switch.

There is a fusable link down at the starter that could be your problem but you shouldnt have any power except to the large post on starter.I'm not sure where you grounded to check for power but the neg. cable sometimes corrodes and breaks off where it bolts to frame under battery.
How would loosing the fuseable link at starter affect the lose of power to things like the radio and fan ,etc. I have 12 volts to the input side of starter relay, and have 12 volts to like the horn relay. Do you know if there is a main fuse or a fuse from the ignition key switch ???

The fusable link feeds every thing except the large term. at starter. If you have 12 volts to the horn relay then the link at the starter is ok.Do you have 12 volts on purple wire at starter term. "S" ?If you do then its the solenoid.(make sure your ground from frame to engine block under right motor mount is intact)If you dont have 12 volts at S term. then start backing up the purple until you find it.

Sorry you ask that before-its on the big terminal on the starter solenoid.I think there is a possiblity there might be 2nd one somewhere around the horn relay but let me see if I can prove that.
OK you have 2 more besides the one at the starter--the one at the starter is brown but I dont think thats a problem because you would not have power at the horn relay. The 2 at the horn relay could be your problem-one is orange and one is black-they will be connected to another wire by a 3/8 diameter piece of plastic that would look like a wire crimp or connector. The black one should be connected to a 12 red and it should be your ignition feed.the orange should be the headlight feed.Pull on each of those and see if the wire stretches if it does its burnt in two and is bad.All these are possibilitys -did you see if you have 12 volts at the purple at the starter solenoid?

Corroded and/or loose battery terminals. You still have the orignal spring-style post clamps?
Had almost identical symptoms. I had just reinstalled the engine and was getting things set up. Had been starting the engine, adjusting timing, programming fan controller, etc. Had probably cranked/started the motor 20 times. Then, all of a sudden...nothing. Even the quartz clock wouldn't run and that doesn't take much power!
Ended up being the negative cable end at the battery clamp. Odd that it went so suddenly, but it did. Cleaned up the cable, coated it with some oxy-ban (oxidation inhibitor), installed it in a new battery terminal clamp, hooked it back to the battery and it worked fine. Easy to check and easy to fix.
