im sure there are people here who have updated their trannys... so im looking for some advice. first off my frame is from an auto. i know ill need to rig up a cross member for the tranny mount. but is there anything ill need to weald onto the frame for the clutch linkages? next, my birdcage is a 4 speed birdcage. will there ce clearance problems and how well does the shifter fit? and lastly what is the going rate for a 5 speed? thanks a bunch guys.
Both kits mentioned above are outstanding kits and make it very easy to make the upgrade. A few of us have installed 5 speeds that required more modification and time but were much cheaper. The challenge of finding the parts, making adapters and mods to make it all work was fun for me. But I have the tools and shop space that make it easier.
Keisler is located here in the Knoxville area, and having visited their new facility, I have to say they are doing the R & D and invested the money to turn out a great product.
