Default Tachometer wiring help please

Got a 77 and have been removing a non working after market alarm and trying to clean up the wiring mess. Well in doing so I somehow managed to disconnect the tachometer. Could someone give me some help on where the stock wires might be located and how they are connected. Where does the tach get its signal? Anyone know what color the wires are? I was afraid of this happening as the wiring was a rats nest. This alarm was obviously wired by some wannabe but I have the car pretty well cleaned up if I can just figure out where I disconnected the alarm. I did some removal under the console (auto) and along the firewall area. Any help sure would be appreciated.

The tach is a three way connector with pink, black. and brown wire connected to it. The pink is ignition. black is a ground, and brown is the signal from the tach filter, connected to the distributor The tach filter is bolted to the intake manifold behind the carburetor. It looks like a condenser only with two wires attached to it. Hope this hels Jack
