I found this on the team camaro tech site... I just copied and paste here for your info... I cannot confirm any of this but it does look like an informative post.

This block, along with a 307 version - casting 3932371, were introduced after the phase-out of the '68 blocks 3914636/660/678 and included previsions to add the partial VIN to the pad.
There is documentation supporting #3932386 being the only 4" bore casting available for a period from late 68 through early Jan/Feb. 69.
There is documentation showing this block was used in 327 applications, there are no known 4-bolt 327s...
There is documentation showing it's use in Full-size passenger cars as well as Chevelle. Both these cars had 350-2bl versions available.
This block was also used in early 69 model light/med. trucks in both 2-bl and 4-bl applications and with both 2 and 4 bolt mains until early 1969.
I have personally seen 2-bolt 350 versions of this block.

As far as it being used as an RPO-L65 application, it is possible.
The RPO-L65 engine was readily available in other chevrolet passenger and truck models prior to being installed in the Camaro.
L65 Camaro option was introduced in early 69 (Jan./Feb.) and this block casting has shown up as late as March in production vehicles - so it could have happened.
Your casting date is Nov. 02, 1968 - so it really should have been used in an much earlier than Feb. engine.
I'm not sure about production prototypes for the Camaro RPO-L65. The AIM notes show sign-offs in the March~May 1968 period, so they were working on it early on. I'm sure there were units built, but I don't know which plant built them.
Check down by the filter housing on the outer verticle of the bell-housing flange to see if there is a partial VIN of the original vehicle it was installed in. The VIN should have been moved back to the upper pad by now, but this varied by final assembly plant.
Also carefully check the stamp/suffix pad of the block for any remaining markings.
Post both of above if found and we can tell you the original application.

Just to add to what luerja posted, if the block is a 2 bolt main most likely a 302 or possibly but rare a 350. If it is a 4 bolt main most likely a 327. This just what I have found.

If you could post the crank casting number then we could tell you for sure what this is.
