I recently bought a 1973 Corvette with a 383, Comp cam 12-211-2, Crane 1.5 rocker arms, Summit stage 1 rods/pistons, MSD 6A box with a Pro-billet distributor, stock heads and Hedman headers. My plan is put a 5-spd tranny w/OD. I am interested in the Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI System, # 3500. I also want to install aluminum heads.
How do I plan on driving? Mostly high performance street with an occasional visit to the strip or maybe try autocross.
Anyone with a Pro-Flo system? Is this a good idea or should I stay with a carb and just upgrade. I don't mind spending the $ for a Pro-Flo. Any suggestions on aluminum heads?
OK, Dart makes excellent heads, 200cc or 215cc intake ports. I think your cam is light, my DynoSim shows it making lots of torque, but it looks to about 50HP short of a 8-430-8, or something simular. I'd also move up to the 1.6 rockers when you change the heads. As far as a fuel system, go with whatever floats your boat, you won't get a consistant answer here as there are diehard fanatics for both methods. If you are going with the Edelbrock EFI then you might consider their heads also. They probably have a packaged deal that works well together.
