I don't know if the gearbox has ever been taken apart,but I did try to adjust the screw and no results.....still stiff...

But it ain't stiff when the wheels are of the ground...Turns really smoothly

Based on this information, it sounds like it is time to replace your power steering pump.

It seems that mine is giving enough assistance. I takes both hand to turn when trying to park. It was better before I rebuilt the control valve, ram, pump, and box. All were done at the same time. Maybe its just the vavle in the pump, or maybe the pump is bad.
