After i pulled into the garage tonight I shut her off, started her and tried the signals, they wouldnt work, then i let the hood slam shut and they started working... Re: Turn signal problem (Rich80)
I just replaced a bulb on my 70 front left tun signal and the light would not work correctly. I could go out and tap on the light and it would work. I eventually found out after taking the bulb out and checking it with a meter that the element was broken, causing the light to not working correct. Installed new bulb and all is correct.
Now I just have to figure out how to get my brake lights to work again.
Go to: http://www.corvettefaq.com and look under Suspension and Steering. There is a paper on turn signal switch diagnosis. If the other suggestions don't work, it may be a big help.
