Default Ecklers

I stopped dealing with Ecklers over ten years ago. Why? Poor customer service of course. I got the same rude treatment when I visited their showroom.

Guys/gals:
As a rule of thumb, the vendor is the one who contracted with a particular "shipping carrier" i.e. FedEx, U.P.S., DHL etc... it is the vendors responsibility to file the claim for damaged goods received. The claim will include a "Damaged Call Tag" which means the carrier will pay the shipping to pick up the damaged good and return it to the vendor and the shipping again for the replacement. The vendor, providing the claim is paid, is out nothing except some extra paperwork.
From there, the vendor has the choice to either ship you a replacement and follow up their end of the claim to be re-imbursed or wait for the claim to be settled before shipping out a repalcement.
Of course, if the customer tells the vendor to "ship it to me using my account" with said carrier, then it becomes your responsibility.
Hope this clears some of the questions.

well, i'm preparing to order my set of harnesses. i called all those mentioned. looks like the best deal is TLD @ $951 with shipping. VolVette next at $1,004.70 shipping included. Lectric Limited next @ $1,018 with shipping.

Each of these are selling the same Lectric Limited wire harnesses. I'll be going with Volunteer Vette as they also include a 10% discount coupon for future orders for 1 year of the purchase....that'll come in handy!

It seems that currently all is available and in-stock except for the rear harness which may take a couple of weeks. Otherwise they can have it delivered by the week's end.

Thanks for the info everyone. Time to spend some CA$H!

Over the years, I have tried quite a few and have not had many problems. However more recently, I will not buy from Eckler's as I think the quality of their parts and customer service has deteriorated considerably and I've even noticed a case of false advertising on their part. They also have the tendency to have parts incorrectly cataloged. Corvette Central and Zip are probably my favorite now.

I have dealt with ecklers for 14 years but my last order had some pretty poor quality parts and the freight charge was rude to say the least! Living in New Zealand means there is no way that we can return poor quality parts (shipping cost etc) and we are stuck with what we get.
