can't find 9 leaf 2 1/2 inch spring. is there any reason i can't use a 2 1/4 7 leaf or does any one no where i can buy the 9 leaf. have already checked eklers and vette brake. no luck
Mid America has them, as does Volunteer Vette. I would go with volunteer before I would go with mid america, they are more knowledgeable and have MUCH better customer service.
zip has them listed for $170. I had the hardest time trying to find replacement liners for mine because someone replaced my spring and diff carrier with the HD one, but they are out there.

VBP has the nine leaf, so does a place called elmers auto ( corvette junk yard near me where i got mine
I know where you can get one. Me! I have one with 1500 miles on it on my car that is being replaced with a fiberglass one. It is the 9 leaf 2 1/2 " spring. It is attached to a 3:55 with a 2 1/2" stock cover with 1500 miles on a complete rebuild. It is perfect, No noise, correct backlash, No excessive play anywhere, no leaks, no issues . Might be a good time to upgrade the rear end Spring $100 with bolts and bushings. $800 for rear end pumpkin, spring, cover and spring bushings and bolts. I just built a HD 4:11 for mine. I am rebuilding the whole car. Going with a 383 W/ nitrous, TKO 600 and the 4:11 You could sell your pumpkin and cover and recover most of your investment. Will throw in the IRS traction bar too!
