I bought a DELCO antenna for $125.00 for my 82 it works like a charm and no modifications needed. Other antennas will require modifications like by-passinging the OEM antenna relay. Call Ken Anderson at K&B Special Products 770-777-1031. He is the manufacturer and is located in Alpharetta GA

Just about anything Delco Electronic radios, relays, cruise control, power antennas, complete wiring harness kits etc. He is manufacturer of restoration parts and is licensed by Delco. He personaly owns a 67 427 roadster that looks like it belongs in a Chevy Showroom in 1967.

I just replaced my factory power antenna same time I put in an aftermarket CD player and went smooth. It was a Hirschmann AUTA-2040 I got off eBay for under $50 including s&h. And you can bypass the car's stock antenna relay too! Easy to install. One wire goes to constant power and other wire goes to your head unit's antenna control wire. When you turn on the radio, it goes up. When you power it off, it goes down automatically. Only had it for a short time but works great.
