Default Frame Help

I tried searching this, but could not find anything. Does anyone know if the 1969 through 73 frames are interchangeable? I have a 1969 coupe. A friend of a friend has a 1973 and insists that it is a bolt in. It is an automatic frame, but I am told the only difference is a bolt in cross-member.

Does anybody know?

I apprceiate all the help that I am getting on here.

MG

I know they lowered the body mounts on the frame so they could use rubber mounts in 73.

The frame is interchangable for your application, just order rubber or poly mounts, and you will be good to go. If you have a manual trans, you can just weld in the support for the Z bar

My understanding is that there is a 3/8 inch difference in the mounts. Was this accounted for in the frame or the body?

the '73 frame body mounts were lowered a little for the rubber bushings.

Also the front frame rails are completely different on a '73 since they were designed to hold the new soft bumper. I cannot remember if the differences are just in the frame extension horns and you can just bolt on the old '69 extensions. Maybe the radiator support mounted differently also.
