Default 1975 emmissions equiment help!!!

Hi all

I am piecing together the emmissions parts for the '75 and I would like to know where i could get the pipe assembly that goes down from the valve cover to the passenger side exhaust manifold? I cant find anything that besides manifold tubes.

Also how hard would it be to fabricate this pipe? looking at the assembly manual it appears it would be easy enough but I'm not sure what the pipe is made of/ what diameter it needs to be.

In my assembly manual it is on page 336 (bought from corvette central :( )

Thanks guys for your help

ZD

No such thing.
WHAT I BELIEVE YOU ARE REFERRING TO is the pipe from the air cleaner to the valve cover, passenger side (you have same air cleaner assembly as I do-1974). At the back of AC unit. It takes the fumes down to the engine, recirculates them. Located right by auto tranny fill tube-if ya have the auto tranny.
That's a bit of a search.
BUT call J & D Corvette 800-VETTEJD, ask for Dennis, tell him Karl sent ya & you'll do fine.

A friend of mine just bought a 75 convertible and the pipe I think you are refurring to is the AIR pump pipe that goes from the AIR pump to the AIR tubes in the right hand exhaust manifold......Butch, if you could take a look at yours and help ZD75blue out that would be great. I bought a 71 so I could avoid any emmision problems . I beleive you can get these components from any of the usual catalogs but I would try to find one at a local parts store first. Might be alot cheaper. Butch found an AIR pump locally and If I remember right he bought it for $19.00 at O'Rilley's. I know it won't win any NCRS events but it did pass state inspection!!!

ZD, the tube is thin wall metal tubing and on mine it was welded into the exhaust pipe, passenger side. On the top end of this line is the check valve and it is connected to the air pump with a rubber hose. Mine is up in the attic, so I went up and double checked it for you (saving it for next owner, if ever). I'll bet one of the auto discount stores in your area has or can get it for you. We are trying to help you with your emmisions AIR injection tube. Butch is going to try and take a picture of it on his 75. He says you can get the tube from ZIP. I'll post the picture as soon as he send it to me. He dosen't know how to post pics yet either. He is new to the Forum and my guess is that he will become as addicted as we are!!!!
