'79 Rear Speakers
Has anyone else here had a hard time replacing the original 6x9 rear speakers with new 6x9's? if so what did you do I can't seem to find a pair that will fit or mount correctly.

Ecklers has the origanal style, the old ones had a square magnet for clearence. If you are upgrading your sounds system go with the pioneers $$$$$.
Any other speaker and you will have to cut clearence in the support bar that your shade mounts to.

I was able to remove the rear shade assembly and trip away some of the metal. I then reinforced it with angle bracket, etc. It looks totally stock yet has new speakers in place.
