A/C orifice on a 81

I.m replacing the orifice on my 81, the old one goes in and stops . the new one feels like it can go pass the stops in the line..I have a new delco and a repo.and they both do the same thing..is there a problem with the new orifices..they both look the same

I've never had that problem. Better get out your caliper and measure them. I would not think new ones would be a different size, that oricice is used on millions of GM cars.

I have problems with the "Variable orifice" style tubes not fitting. Cheapie $2 units still fit fine.

I measured them both and they are the same yet the new one a delco one goes deeper down the line, one more thing does the o-ring go to the top or the bottom when you put it in the line
