Default Fuel delivery problem

Have New sending unit and new fuel pump. Can't hear the pump run when I turn the key on. Not familiar with electrical system on '82 vette. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

There is a fuse for the pump and a relay behind the seat

Do you know exactly where the fuse is? I'm currently laying in the back of the car and I don't see anything. Thanks for your help

The fuel pump is energized for only 2 seconds after the key is turned on, unless you are cranking over the engine. Have someone turn on the key after you are by the filler neck, the pump is pretty quiet.

I have a 1982 corvette collector edition. I just had the same problem last week. I replaced the fuel pump and found out I had no power to the pump. I read the wiring out and found out it was the fuel pump relay.

That was the hardest pain in the butt to do. Some smart engineer put it in the battery compartment behind the ECM. After much frustration getting the ECM out I had to remove the carpet behind the drivers seat.(2 ) screws on a silver clamp that allows you to get to the screws holding the damn relay in. 10 mins later and $30.00 for the relay......it was up and running great.

Oh yea the Fuel Pump fuse is in the fuse block under the drivers side all the way at the top right hand cornor.

good luck hope this helps you!!!!
