I'm kind of new around here, so I just wanted to show everyone what's going on in the garage....The beginning of a beautiful relationship Motor's so fast it's already gone!Vanacor's 4" cowl hoodInterior getting a 2004r shift plate ahd a trans temp guageoboy-alot of work to do down here. Any suggestions on how to organize the engine compartment, it looks like a maze of spaghetti and a mess in there? I plan on mounting a fuse block from Mad electric somewhere. Any suggestions on how to get this in order? Thanks!
Mount the fuse block and relays on the fender well next to the alternator, Rerout the heater hoses up under the fender and come in more from the side to the pump/intake. Look into custom ac hoses, that way you can route them higher in the fender away from the exhaust, I had a lot of problems on my 77 with heat eating them. I would run all the vac hoses under the hood surround part of the fenders too to keep them out of sight as possible. Bundle and wrap the electrics as much as you can, that ought to spiff it up a might. Good luck, I start all this and more next week on my 81
Good luck with the project, you got your hands full! Did you find a build sheet when you dropped that tank?
I had some paper stuck on top of the tank, right now I'm not around the car(I'm doing this at my buddies place as my condo doesn't have a garage) so I'll find it when I go back there. Sixfooter, thanks for the info. From what you said, that'll clean it up alot. Gotta order some POR 15 for the frame next week. Right now I'm assembling my 383 in my living room.
A few questions,Sixfooter where did you get your A/C hoses? Anybody have any thoughts on where to mount the MSD box or is right there OK? Can anyone tell me if this is a Heavy Duty rear end cover? Thanks
MSD can be hidden on the passenger side fender by the side grill. It's out of the way and the wires can be hidden with the all the other stuff you'll have.

HD rear-end cover has a different casting number, 464910 is the # on the one I have on my dining room table right now (yes, I'm still single...)
Hey Mako, I know you built your motor the exact way I wanted to build mine. I can afford everything but the roller setup (child support OW) so had to settle for a xs274s with 1.6 rockers- whaddyathink?
