QUESTION ABOUT RADIATOR SUPPORT
Removed the radiator support today so I can repair rusted base. IS THE SUPPORT SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLETELY FLAT ? OR IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE SLIGHTLY TWISTED ? THANX!! Rick :chevy

Should be as flat as possible. However, welding on metal as thin as the core support is made of invariably will result in warpage, so you'll almost certainly end up with a bit of twist in the finished product. What's an acceptable amount of twist is pretty much going to be determined by you. I would think that a good guideline would be that it's OK as long as it reinstalls without a great deal of difficulty. If your core support had some twist in it when you took it out, it's probably due to the corrosion damage.
