1972 Ontario Orange Lacquer
I am trying to find a place to purchase Dupont Ontario Orange Lacquer. I have heard that Dupont has formulated a very close match to the original G.M. paints. Does anyone know of a supplier on the west coast?

You misunderstand automotive paints. All you have to do is to go into a auto paint jobber to get the exact paint. They'll have an automotive paint chip book for 1972 Chevrolet. You pick out the one that applies to your car (if this is the car's original color, write down the paint code from the trim tag since that works best). They reference up the chemistry for the paint mix and there you go. It's an exact match. All paints are custom mixes. They don't have your or anyone else's color on the shelf.
And I doubt being on the left coast that you can locally buy or spray lacquer. Though you can buy it online.
