I have gotten to the part in my restoration where I need to start wiring everything back up. I re-taped everything and coated the wires with spray silicone. My problem is that when I purchased the car for whatever reason Bubba decided to disconnect the A\C and remove it. He didn't mark anything and I have no idea where to begin. What is the best resource for tracing wiring locations. The AIM shows some diagrams but doesn't say what anything is. My Haynes manual also shows diagrams but no specifics. Any suggestions on a good resource? How is this lamenated diagram that some of the vendors sell? I guess what I am asking is, is there an idiots diagram to wiring?? :D
Bummer wade...I took a pic of my AC this weekend but mine was seriously out of condition....you can see where the wires/hoses go tho....I won't be able to get my hands on those pictures until next weekend so if you still need them then, tell me.
I don't have a big laminated diagram, but I have resorted to a combination of the AIM assembly pages and an enlarged wiring diagram to figure out other wiring snafus on my '69.
I take each individual page of the wiring diagram in the AIM and photocopy it to enlarge it. Then I tape all the pages together to make one big sheet. I can then highlight all the relevant circuits and write notes on it specific to the area I'm working on. Then, use the AIM sheets showing the assembly details to discern how the stuff fits together in practice. It ain't the easiest way, but it's worked OK for me.
