This is the second one that's broken. Summit SUM-G4050 $14.50
Car came with one and it fractured at the rear header bolt connection. The new one broke in half an inch from there. Appears to be made of cheap chrome plated pot metal. Looking for another brand, Hooker, headman whatever, prefibly chrome plated or polished aluminum that won't break after 500 miles.
p.s. no accesory holes on 68 heads for front mount. has to connect around header bolts.

maybe there is a way to not run two belts on your alternator.... That bracket is taking all the load from the two belts because that upper bracket is not built for that.

Or have one fabricated and polished or chromed?
Jim
Wierd. I think tha'ts a photo imaging error - there is just one belt I'm sure.
DAVE - put an ad in the parts section (if you haven't already)
When my lower bracket broke, I found a guy on the forum that sold good, powder coated ones. I think I pd about 30 bux for mine.

Jim, that's a reflection of the belt off the chrome. Just follow the belt to the left towards the fan the imaginary belt disappears, it's just a reflection.
