I just checked cnv-corvettes.com to see what they have in their showroom.
The average price for a base engine coupe between '68 - '72 is $19,449.54.
The convertables are going over 20k!
I'm glad I bought mine when they were affordable. :yesnod: http://www.cnv-corvettes.com/
http://www.contes.com check out some prices here joe has some nice cars my buddy(x-otic) and i are going up this week to look at a couple hes getting the itch again.
I check their stuff out once a week or so just to see what the dealer market is doing. I wish I lived out there so I could check out their rides in person to see if their cars are as good as they say. Their C5s are definitely over priced compared to the open market.
Too bad they aren't a supporting dealer like many over in the C5 Forum. Maybe forum members could get better deals than what they advertise.

Re: Corvette Prices getting up there (71coupe)
Last January there was a '72 base engine, auto in nice shape here on a used car lot. I thought the guy was insane asking a firm $12,500! Looking back I guess that was a good deal?
At the same time Nicky71 was selling his '71 LS5 4sp for $12,500!
I'm not actively looking, but the C-3's I've stumble across have all been 10K+. There is an '85 near me for $7,777 advertised as a "hot-rod"??
I am starting to see some dog C-4s on the road with what appears to be Mr. Bubba driving them. (You know the type.) There are a few dog C-3s left, but the owners I know are people who are saving up to restore them. Not your typical Mr. Bubba. The moral of this story may be that every generation of Corvettes have to go through their dangerous Bubba stage.
What kind of lift is that in your pics. I'm looking for one that will fit in my garage with a 8' 9" ceiling. I want to do some suspension work this winter. thanks
I agree prices might be creeping up -- these cars are getting a little older and more desirable every day -- but we should not be putting too much emphasis on asking prices. I suspect these cars are selling for less than the asking prices in most parts of the country.
