Since it never rains in Louisiana, i do not why i am worried about this.On my 80,wipers were working fine until i turned them off and got gas.Now i have nothing.Checked and replaced fuse even though the old one was good.Any ideas, switch, motor or pulse relay board?

Ground to the motor-run a temporary extra ground to "motor case"if this works check the black wire ground lead that plugs on top-and or the screws holding the cover to the motor-(no copper strap-I had a moment)sorry

I see there are 2 threads with the same problem. I will only answer this one and hopefully the other person will read it as well.
Unfortunately windshield wiper motors do not like to do nothing for long periods of time. Of course we rarely drive our vettes in the rain so they sit idle.
I had the same problem, ripped the switch out, checked the grounds, and all were good. After all that I checked the motor and found one bolt was loose. I then tapped the motor lightly with hammer and it has worked ever since.
Give it a shot. Can't hurt and beats pulling the switch apart.
Mark that bolt was probably the one with the flat copper strap on it-it bridges the rubber mount to make ground-thats the way to isolate the problem -tap around a little
