Default Header install

Hey All,
Has anyone tried to install full length headers with the car on jackstands? I have a set of Flow Tech by Holley and they say a height of 36 inches for the car to be raised. I think that is a little high. How about 15 inches?? I really want to do this in my garage.

Thanks, Marc

36" is pretty nutty - I doubt the headers are that tall. It really only needs to be high enough to fish them up in place...and I'm sure 15" is more than enough.

All my header installs have been with jackstands in my garage - I see no reason yours cant.

it will work..you can slide them in sideways and then up into the engine compartment...mine (78 BB) was done on "normal" jackstands too.

Pretty sure mine went in from the top (SB) no A/C or P/S installed at the time,
