Default Tailshaft bushing replacement

I have a highway speed (70+) vibration which I've pretty much narrowed down to a worn tailshaft bushing on my M21 4-speed. There's quite a bit of slop when I push the driveshaft up and down where it enters the transmission extension. The oil seal is also shot. I'm pretty sure the seal can be replaced on the car but how about the bushing? Do I have to remove the extension? Can that be done without removing the transmission? Can anyone direct me to a good 'how-to'?

Not sure about a M21 but mt T10 needed to remove the trans to do it on my car. I dont see how you could reinstall the tailhousing while in the car.......

I have done this in the car.I have a hacksaw blade cut down to aprox.1/4 inch.I make a slice at the bottom of bushing by dragging the blade out-when it goes through bushing just slides out-most of this "soft" metal will be on the outside-the rest I vacumn out.Use a tube to tap new bushing back in place. If your car has the small yoke you might want to invest in the new redesigned longer one.
