Default Found jack and a few other items!!

Well....in cleaning up the battery area on my 81, I decided to pull the whole hatch affair for a clean up job....and found the jack, and in the jack area, a loose circuit card with large relay and several power transistors with large heat sink.....just laying there, with no cover. Also, there is a another electronics pack, completely enclosed in a black case. Both have quite a few (8 to 10 )wires going to them. Can someone ID Please?? There were also several relays mounted to wall close to pass seat back, any idea on these?

Another surprise....I thought my computer was gone, since there are no emission devices on the vehicle, and the carb and dist. are pre 81. Should I remove it??

Thanks in advance !!

you can remove it. I would do this carefully, don't cut the cables. Keep if for later sale. I might even be interested in it.
The ECM is in the battery compartment behind the drivers seat.
An AIM, Assembly Imstruction Manual would be your friend for component idintification

These should be for the alarm system. I don't know about the other stuff...

My 81 had all the stuff in the same locations you found your stuff. Both passenger and drivers side. I too would like to know what the devices are on the pass. side. Let me know what you find out.

Thanks. Was the windshield wiper delay control in a housing?? It's a wonder mine is still working...as it looked like the printed circuit had been bouncing right on the jack!

What are the computers worth?

To be honest I'm not sure on your 81--on 78-79 the wiper was covered but it seems like it was just taped on.I think both items on your 81 are upgraded fom 79-I'll check part numbers and see if thats true.Sixfooter has an 81 and might know if there is a differance.Computer worth is not much there is a bunch out there.**********Ok back again-the wiper control is different-ask Sixfooter what his looks like-Ecklers sells the ECM for $119 and I get them for $90 from them and $68 from Napa and there is no core charge so I doubt if you can get much for it.
