for a problem that crops up 7 times in 10 years...... I would drink a beer and forget about it, and chalk it up to idiosyncracies.

I did forget about it, I don't know what caused this sort of thing in the past, I know what caused this one though, the battery was toast.
Kinda caught me by supprise though as I had no indications the battery was going south, I hope it's not related to the new alternator I put.
I am going back to stock pullies too ( no more March underdrive ) I am just waiting for them to get chromed.
