Another stumble
Just got my 69 427 390 hp stock ignition, q jet, back from the paint shop and poped in the seats and the dash and went for a ride. The car hasn't been run for 3 months. I pulled the coil wire and turned it over till the oil pressure was up, then it started right up. The car has ran well for the last few years. Anyway, now, when hot, but not when first started, there is a major stumble from idle to about 2500 rpm. Nothing has changed since before it was shut down for body and paint work. I checked plugs, wires, timing, advance, accelerator pump, and the power piston does move. I have insolated the fuel line from the stock fuel pump to the carb, thinking it might have been vapor lock. This mornings run was at about 75 deg and the car runs at about 190 deg. as normal. So, as far as I know, nothing has changed. I ran about 250 miles, so it is getting new gas. Anybody have any suggestions as what to do or check next?
