Anyone else switch their tranny to c4?
Unfortunately, my transmission is going out, it is slipping pretty bad now, so I hear that to slightly increase my off-the-line speed, I should put a 700R4 from a C4 in my 1980. My car is SLOW already, SO ANYTHING would be an improvement, depending on the $$ (baby due in November, I hear they're expensive).
So if I already have to replace my tranny, I may as well go with this option. I can logically get this one by the wife.
So I'm asking how many people have done it to theirs (and do they like it) and how much does the tranny cost?
(I'm at least expecting a response from Pacin' CA, I know he did it).

Checkout my web page. I installed a '95 4L60e, which is the same size as a 700r4 except is electronically controlled. You don't want to use a C4 700r4 tranny, theres no easy way to mount it in a C3. Get a 700r4 out of a Camaro, or Caprice.
