Ditto!! I was referred to this site a few months back! A wealth of info from some very knowledgeable owners. Wish I'd had that knowledge before I bought my car a couple of summers back! For every question I have, I get a reply from someone who has experienced the same problem and has some excellent advice to pass on. The kind of people who would stop at the side of the road to help out a motorist in trouble. Great group!! Lots of Canadians too eh?

Ya, I must say the people in this group are very knowledgable without being rude about it. This is one of those rare areas of the Internet that remindes you why you got on it in the first place. Hats off to the members and the admin. Oh ya, lots of Canucks too :blueangel:

right! I have this habit of repeating myself! Comes with age I think! If you get a chance, could you bring the top down here for me? Didnt happen 2 weekends ago at Carlisle. I did see him tho, and he said maybe Fall Carlisle. I have been cultivating people from Toronto Ontario, including the corvette club of ontario!

BTW, speaking of repeating myself, did you see the thread wherein I located on this forum the guy in Vancouver that restored my car? MJ

I remember the body off was done somewhere in BC, but Brian didn't have any significant documentation on that, just a hand written sheet indicating the car had been the recipient of a body off restoration. Plenty of receipts re engine rebuild etc. Wondering if you could reply to the thread on pg 1 about the import costs between Canada/US seeing you would have gone through that issue yourself a couple of summers back. I wish I could help you with the hardtop but I don't have any plans to drive stateside anytime soon. The owner before Brian must have sunk a lot of coin into the resto.
My car came with a thick envelope of receipts which cover about 15 years. The total value well exceeded what I paid for the car and of course didn't include what he paid for it way back when. Yikes! That's why I tried to buy one mostly "done" just like yours.
