Vacuum Hell on 76 L-48
If you can help me clean up this mess, I would be very thankful. Everything seems to be working OK but the clutter is driving me crazy. The pictures are a bit large for detail so please just follow the links.

It's very possible that the one hose doesn't connect to anything on your engine. My carb has a vacuum line that is just capped -- perhaps the previous owner couldn't find a cap and just capped a hose instead.
Also, it's obvious that you should have an vaccum line going from your EGR to your carb. I can see the open line for it in the carb right by your fuel filter. I would hook that back up too for now until your sure what's going on. Finally -- and I'm not sure if this is a difference in our cars, but my PCV valve on the drivers side goes from a canister below the power brake booster, "T"'s at the PCV, then goes to the front of the carb. It doens't look like your PCV vacuum is hooked up, either.
Hope that was helpful!
I just replaced the EGR this evening and had not replaced the hoses. Got a little creative and painted the EGR "chrome" just for a little flash.
Your engine looks super. Hope to have mine half that good one day.

Here's a couple of things you'll want to help polish things up. My tips from 6 months of experience:
1. Lots and Lots of Krylon semi-flat black paint. Used properly, it's the savior of Corvette owners everywhere.
2. Simple Green. This is the best stuff on the planet. Smells good, cleans grease like a monster, is non-toxic, safe for the environment, and a lot less harsh on other engine parts than most engine cleaners. And you can wash your clothes with it! Buy it by the gallon!
3. Formula 2001. This is like Armor All but not as bad for rubber. Use this on hoses and vacuum lines.
4. Electric Parts Cleaner. Will get all those electrical cables shined up and looking like new. Also good for cleaning tough grease in tight spots.
5. A Dremel. Great for polishing stuff up, and removing generally tough crud.
6. A bench Wire Wheel. This has been the best thing ever. Every nut, bolt and washer that comes off my car gets a run through the bench grinder setup with a wire wheel. I have taken 30-year old rusted bolts off, polished them, and made them look brand new.
Just some suggestions!
My current hoses in use are:
EGR
PCV
Power Brakes
I have an electric choke kit so I no longer have the choke hoses, other than that I have no idea about what would use the additional hoses.
On another note, what are those 2 hardlines running into your intake from carb? My stock intake has a plate there and nipples on the carb hose ends.
Its not part of the EGR system, so the only thing I can think of is the choke.
Someone with smarts can jump in here and educate me at any time, thanx.
