heater box question..
I've got a good chunk of my dash out while replacing the vacuum valve located on the back of the tach. While in the dash, I began chasing down an annoying metalic sounding rattle that has plagued me for years. I found it last night by moving the metal baffel inside the heater distribution box. I'd like to get inside the box and install some foam bumpers or something to stop the rattle, but can't quite see how the box comes apart. It appears that many of the screws penetrate through the firewall from the engine compartment. Do I really have to remove those screws to attack the problem?
Would like to hear from anyone who has chased down a similair problem.
