I am considering purchasing a '68 427/390 Roadster, both tops, 4 speed, matching numbers block and tranny (engine has been rebuilt with some non original parts). Car has 1969 side pipes connected to original exhaust manifolds. Paint, interior, and soft top is good.
Re: Help! with a value for '68 BB roadster (livin)
12k would be cheap.... 20k would be expensive. Depends on condition.
What color? Aside from engine, has car been restored? "non-original parts in engine" ? anything you can see? like the carb? intake? MJ
Re: Help! with a value for '68 BB roadster (hudman)
Car has been mechanically rebuilt (engine, tranny, rear end, bushings etc) Engine has aftermarket valve covers, and a non original manifold and carb-no headers.
Rims are not original.
Hood is L88 style-not original
Paint and top are excellent. Interior needs some attention. No radio, some guages do not work. Aftermarket steering wheel.
What you have is a great looking car that has some originality, but many missing original parts.

Re: Help! with a value for '68 BB roadster (63Banshee)
I did some research. I found that a #3 390 hp ’68 brings around 17K at a dealership. This would be a car that has nice paint/interior, but is in need of a chassis/engine compartment resto. Add 1K if the car originally came with a hardtop. Subtract about 2K if buying from a private party.
