They came up and you just want to drop them manually?? DON'T do it by pushing the doors from the top.
The complicated-looking mess below is your light assembly (well it's mine and it's out of the car and sitting upside-down on my BBQ but whatever...)
See the two sets of springs and where they're hooked? If you reach from UNDER your car and pull down on joint/thing where the top springs are in my pic your lights will go back down and probably stay there till you put them back up.
if you really want to fix it properly then corvette101 is correct
