please take it easy on me for the dumb questions and my grammer/spelling
I have no idea if this applies to aftermarket trailing arms but my OEM arms were centered in the pocket before I removed them to replace the bushings. I basically shimmed them in the same place for the drive to the shop and it turned out they didn't need to touch the shims for the alignment.
If I understand you right , you're asking how many shims go on either side of the trailing arm. Before you tighten the nut on the T/A bolt (that goes through the front bushing) just press in as many shims as you can, distributing them as equally as possible on both sides of the T/A. This'll be plenty good to get you to the alignment shop.
Jason,
Are you familar with vette rear bearings? They are a little involved and require you to set them up under .002" endplay and .002" rotor runout. If you know this great, but if you have any questions let me know before you start ripping them apart.
yes i know that they have to be set up . im going to take my t arms apart and send off to be done.any advise would be greatly appreciated.some info on disassembly. price and place for rebuild service.thank you
