Default Warning Dumb Question Alert!!! About T-Tops

Here is my question, is it possable to mix the left and right side female t-top roof mounted recievers on a C3 Corvette. This is the chrome part (2 per side) has the oval slots that holds the t-top to the center pillar. If anyone has there middle trim off could you see if they are goof proof as far as mixing the left from the right, Thanks AL.

I had mine off last year when the vette was repainted,I dont think there was a problem with where they were located afterwards... but if in doubt, mark them with masking tape,or some other method so you dont mix them up.

Location is important because the are left and right part numbers. AL.

Default 68 T-Top

I think I have found the answer. according to my assembely manual all 4 mounting supports are different. There is a front and rear left and a front and rear right and they all must be in the correct location for the top to fit, AL.

Its impossable to mix the fronts with the rear because one is flat and the other has a bulge that fits into the roof, AL.
