I am hooking up my LM1 wide band O2 sensor on a semi-permanent basis. I found a switched hot lead in the fuse box I can use. However, a good ground was not so obvious.
What are you guys' suggestions for a ground near the fuse box so I can run my hot and ground wires somewhat close together?
Thanks all. I'm remaining calm and stepping away from the hand drill.

I noticed the bolts holding the steering column to the floor. The threads are actually on the inside of the car. If I put a connector on my ground wire, slip it over the protruding threads and tighten another nut on top of it, all should be well.
I wanted something that was semi permanent and I did not like the idea of Velcro on my dash or anywhere else in my interior. I fabricated a carbon epoxy bracket as shown, metal would work as well. I put Velcro on the back of the LM-1 and top of bracket. The side of the bracket slips in between the seat and console.
Thanks for the good advice on the ground! I used the steering column mounting bolt and it works great.
