Default Rear Tail Light Idea/Question

Ok what i would like to do is get rid of the reverse lights and replace them with stock tail lights. So then I would have 4 stock tail lights working as tail lights, brake lights and turning signals. My questions are, where is a good place to get rear lights for a 1980, and how to wire it all up, and is there a snowballs chance in hell that the C6 lights could work with some mod.? I think this set up would be bad ***, but if you guys have any ideas about where to put a reverse light would be great cuz i have no idea. THANKS

Example Picture from www.C3-R.Com

Buy some cheap, low-profile fog/driving lights to use for the backups. mount them under the bumper. The taillight housings are available from any of the vendors. I'd recommend using the LED bulbs so that the new lenses last longer - the heat from the taillight bulbs wrecked my originals.

You can do the "bubble" light converstion, too, but I'm not a huge fan of it. Also available from the vendors.

if u do the tail light conversion then just simply splice the wires into the existing brake light wires and thats all you have to do

They usually recommend a heavy duty flasher too so that your turn signals don't blink too slow because of the added load.

LED lights would fix that - they draw so little current that often you have to use an electronic flasher to make them work right.
