Default Headlights

Having problem with the headlamps coming up, new actuators before I purchased, they were a little slow but now do not open at all.

Any chance you hit the bypass switch with your knee? Its below the steering column.

It could be a vacuum leak. Check at the vacuum supply...near the rear of the intake manifold on the driver side. Hoses connected? Follow the hoses from there and check for leaks. they should go to the switch inside the car and from there to the distribution valve between the 2 actuators.

Let us know what you find. I just put all new hoses on my '69 tonight (this morning 3:38am here!) My vacuum cannister had a leak, so I bypassed it and although they are a bit slow coming up, they do work.
BTW, a MightyVac with a guage is the best way to troubleshoot the vacuum system.
