Default 82 window seal issues

i really need help with this issue. the seals are all in perfect condition yet the top of the windows dont cut into the center of the seals. the motors are strong but to get a good seal the glass has to push hard into the seals. not only that but at 85 the windows often pop out a quarter of an inch then its a wind tunnell and goodbye to the ac. fruthermore, when the ac in on max there shouldnt be outside air making it into the cabin. where does the outside air come from? id be very happy to rig itclosed all the time as when i dont need ac the windows would be down. thankyou ahead of time for any assistance with this

Not sure about the window seals but you may have a bad regulator. As for the ouside air, there is a flapper door located on the passenger side in the wiper compartment area, remove the screen by the hood hinge and there is a door there that closes by vacuum when you turn on max a/c. I duct taped mine close to eliminate hot air either from the motor or outside getting past it. Just remember that on defrost you need outside air to clear the windshield better/faster.

Well it is a C3 and the windows definately become loose and rattle overtime. If install new hardware, that may hold the window in place better. Just be gald they don't leak water! That is a big problem that I am dealing with. I don't drive my car in the rain and I have to be real carfull washing it. I need new outside window stripping.

I had a similar problem a while back, also it was impossible to roll the window up over 50 MPH without the top sticking out amout 2 inches

I changed the wondow trim? (the part that mounts on the top of the door , it wipes the glass when it goes up and down and also keeps the window from rattling) hard to describe and I cant remember the name of the part...

Any how, I changed the outer trim and also adjusted the tensioners (the brackets with the felt on them) and its fine now

Sorry for the poor description but I cant remember the name of the part
