Default window spring

i've done a search but can't find exactly how to do this,
the drivers side has snapped so needs a new one,
do i just fit it with the window up so it will need very little tension on it????
thanks,
natt

OOOo, this is a viscios one, be carefull, that spring will eat fingets. Basically your correct, window all the way up, spring installed on the center post then pull it around to the stop hook for the outside end.

Virtually impossible to do with the regulator in. Try it But...

Easier to pull the regulator out. If you choose this route. Jam something in the window to keep it up. Drill out the 5 rivits that hold the regulator in...unless it was out before should be nuts and bolts. disconnect the regulator from the window. Disconnect it from the tracks. Use the power window switch to compress the regulator down. Pull it through the access port at the bottom. Put the spring on. Compress the regulator to fit the other tongue of the spring in its spot, Reconnect the power. Compress the regulator. Put it back in through the access port. Get yourself 5 bolts (short as possible that do the job and 5 lock nuts). Reattach the regulator. Power it up to line up with the window. Reattach the window and track. Check to see if the window opens and cloases with out a hitch. You may need to realign it.
