Default 68-72 body mounts

When changing the body mounts on my '72, do you folks recommend using the '73 up rubber mounts instead of going back with the 68-72 metal spacers. If you used the '73 and up does the body still sit the same.

Some guys here have done this conversion with great results. More often than not, the body sat a bit higher....especially when using Poly.
How much higher using rubber????...I don't recall.

Rubber or poly mounts as-is will make the car sit a bit higher from the frame than it did before. I think some people have trimmed the rubber or poly cushions down to the thickness of the alumnium parts.

Sits 3/8 inch higher on my '69. Nothing you can notice.

the gaps will tell you if correct amount of shims are added...trial and error, just have to play with the shims...adding and deleting...I started without any shims and went from there
