I'm rebuilding the 350 CI in my 77 Vette. I'm at a crossroads as to which intake to choose. I want the rpm range to be 1500-6500 I know the Edelbrock performer RPM intake will accomplish this, but Edelbrock states it will not provide adequate hood clearance due to its high rise nature. Can anyone share their experiences with aluminum intakes on their 77 Vette?
If the 77' hood is anything like the 73' thru 76'.... I can tell you that the Performer Intake with a QJ or a Holley Street Avenger will not be a problem as far as the hood clearance goes
I have a 74' with the RPM intake and Edelbrock carb, and its fine as long as you use the drop down air cleaner. If you want the higher rpm range that Edelbrock claims, you need a good set of heads too. Low compression- smaller valve heads won't produce the same results. I believe they aslo used a 750cfm carb.
first of all what were you doing up at 2:30am edelbrock lies. ive got an 82 and my performer air gap rpm fits no problem with a droop down moroso cleaner
