I've decided to replace the RH visor with the cut outs for one with no cutouts. $200 for a mirror ? :bs
I have a red interior. Has anyone found a place that sells a visor that looks stock and do you think the color will match or will it look really red because everything else is sun faded. The Corvetterestoration has them for $24.70.. Zip has them for $26. Any thoughts? Do I have to replace both sides.. also, any quick tips on changing the pad. I wasn't going to get the arm but I tried to pull on the visor pad.. while driving of course.. to see if it just pulls off but it didn't. Is there any clips or tricks to doing this.. besides trying while I'm parked..
I have the sam problem except the Screws keep coming of of the header on my 74.........That is cheap for the visors though.........Sounds like they both should be replaced together!! I am not sure about how they come off the spine though
the sunvisors have 2 metal rods going through in each end .And they unscrew from your header panel only unscrew one side and pull and twist it will come off then insert new one on the rod that is still connected to header panel and then your done...now if they feel loose to you pull it back off and gently squeeze the ends youll feel a hollow rod in the visor when you squeeze it and it will tighten it up so it doesnt flop down on you while driving.
Could they be different on the '73? I have an '80 and from what I remember seeing there is just one arm or bar that attaches to the frame and goes into the visor. It may come off the same way as the '73. How do you unscrew it? Does it have to be removed from the car or can this be changed over with the arm still attached?
