Still have done much, because it's way to hot to work for long in the garage with no air moving thru. Making slow butt steady progress with the suspension.
Rear suspension is almost complete........Calipers ready to be hooked up and re piped.
Painted gas tank ready to drop back in....
Front suspension removal. Still have to remove the upper arms, and all the linkages for cleanup. Got the lower control arms out......
Old Parts.....to be cleaned and painted...
Bushing came out rather easy. Just put in a vice, and beat the small lip in and downward until it popped out. Piece of cake......
Now I have to clean up all the parts, replace bushings, balljoints, and other components. Where is the cool weather?
I did this to reinstall my a-arm bushings (and someone will probably have a stroke when they hear it) - I beat them in with a BFH. I froze the outer shells to shrink them as much as possible, lined them up, then supported the arm behind the shell. They went in just fine, and nothing got hurt.
The rotors and calipers are just dry fitted for now. I have to take the rotors to get turned. Front ones are grooved pretty good. Don't plan on any rivets.
I'm going to put the new a arm bushings in with the vice. Plan on pressing them in using a spacer around the unflanged end. Probably some along with it. Hope they go in as easy as they came out.
