Default front end rebuild

i have a 75 350 with a worn out suspension. i am eventually going to do both the front and rear , but am only dealing with the front now. my upper ball joints seem the have been replaced already because they are bolted in, not rivited. the other ball joints are real loose and the bushings in my upper a-arms are falling out. i am going to order the parts from vansteel.

-poly front suspension rebuild kit
-1 1/8 front sway bar
-kyb gas-a-just shocks
-550# front coil springs(will lower front end 1 inch)

does this sound like a good setup?any other suggestions are appeciated.

I did the same, but I put in 475 pound springs and love it. Came out great!

The Bilstein shocks are better, especially with the 550lbs springs. I've had the KBY shocks and they felt "spongy" or "bouncy" with the 550s.... the heavy springs were too much for the shocks, they just couldn't handle it.

Other than that your choice is fine, I'm sure VBP or VanSteel will tell you the same: you'll think it's a different car

Same here ... good choice with the poly kit.
470 springs and KYB Gr2s.

What are the std. springs rated at for 74/75? I plan on cleaning mine up and reusing, unless someone can tell me why I should't?? Any reason? They just have a light surface rust.

If you could have seen how deformed the poly bushings were when I took them out, you would go with rubber. But that's an argument that's already been hashed out, and it comes down to personal preference.
