Default Vacuum Stuff - Need help

Hey all,

I guess i should go into a little background first. I have a 75 coupe. I dropped in a zz502 with an accel superram on top and a keisler tremec kit behind it. I ripped out my entire interior last year and im going to put it all together now and im having a hard time figuring out everything. i think i have most, if not all, of the wiring down. Heres where i run into trouble though - Im not familiar with the vacuum equipment on these cars. I want to get rid of anything and everything that i can. I have the killer light conversion so i dont need that stuff anymore. What should i be looking for in the inside of the car to make sure i hook up, and more importantly make sure i dont hook up. I found this deal that looks like a revolver magazine (creative discription) with vacuum lines going into it. What is it?

Anyway, sorry for the lack of knowledge type post but im trying to learn things as i go. I deal a lot with newer cars, especially imports that are all electronics with none of this stuff.

As always,

Thanks guys

P.S. Where is the original backup light harness deal that i need to splice into for the backup signal on the tremec?

Since you're talking interior, I assume this "revolver" thing is interior too. Not sure about 70's+, but on a '69 there is a manifold that diverts vaccuum pressure to move your airflow between vent, defrost, etc. As you move your ventilation control lever it rotates to allow vaccuum through different lines to control airflow.

When I took mine apart, I made detailed drawngs of the vaccuum line routing because I'm not much good at putting a plate of spaghetti back together from memory.

Also on the vaccuum lines for headlights, wiper door etc., I detailed those too because most drawings I found were different than what I had. Most showed 2 headlight actuator relays, my '69 only had 1 with T's to both lights. I dunno, either a GM change or maybe Bubba lost the other one.

The 6-shooter Barrel is used to control the vaccuum to your vents/ac/etc.

Best wiring diagram comes from fellow member Don Olson

You can Email him vetsvett2002@yahoo.com

Full Color diagram, fully laminated!

Already ordered one from him

Cool, i left most of it attached but i think there were 1 or 2 lines disconnected (the car is not here at the moment). They probably go to the controls though.
